Angst Hase Pfeffer Nase / Carla Bozulich + Devin Sarno / Plasmodian World

Hey! It’s a last minute show! Aren’t the best ones always? Featuring:

Weirdo noise from Oakland’s finest: prepared guitar hero Chris Cooper and pedalcube creator/electronics abuser Jess Goddard. If you never got to see Fat Worm of Error, well, I’m sorry, but you definitely don’t want to miss this set too. A true gem, I can’t emphasize enough how inspiring and high-caliber the band with the long name we all hesitate to pronounce. Must-see 2017.

Longtime local legend Carla Bozulich, known for founding celebrated Los Angeles bands The Geraldine Fibbers, Ethyl Meatplow, and Evangelista, gets harsh with subsonic bass wizard and drone master Devin Sarno. Double the pitch-black, heavy-as-fuck improvised bass stylings from two of LA’s most educated and experienced in the subject.

_____ of Cantaloupe and Bolles _____

Don Bolles’ reputation precedes him (“He’s the drummer from the Germs, OMG!”), but if you think you’ve got his number from seeing him with Ariel Pink or DJing junkshop 45s, you’re in for a surprise. KXLU’s top-notch weekly program Glossolalia, co-hosted by Bolles and Professor Cantaloupe (aka everyone’s favorite collector of the eclectic, Mitchell Brown) is a pretty good indication of the quality of this collaboration.
