Coaxial receives grants from National Endowment for the Arts &  California Arts Council

Coaxial is happy to announce that we have received two grants from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Art Works – Media Art & California Arts Council (CAC) Local Impact.

These grants will allow Coaxial to continue our artist residency program and will provide much needed funding for artists during their residency.

NEA’s Art Works – media arts supports activities that reflect the dynamic, diverse, and evolving nature of the media arts field. This Art Works category for media arts funds projects that support creation, exhibition, education, and distribution of historic and contemporary artworks in all genres and forms that use electronic media, film, and technology (analog & digital; old and new) as an artistic medium or a medium to broaden arts appreciation and awareness (of any discipline).

CAC’s Local Impact (LI) supports community-driven arts projects for small and mid-sized arts organizations to foster equity, access, and opportunity in historically marginalized communities by centering the arts as a vehicle for building strong, healthy, vibrant, and resilient communities.
